Following our Blue Cruise down the Turkish Coast from Fethiye to Demre, I had the pleasure of doing a mini engagement shoot in Olympos with Michelle + Tom, a couple whom we met on our boat. Michelle and Tom met and live in London but are getting ready to move back to Michelle’s native New Zealand this winter. We really enjoyed our time hanging out with this warm, engaging couple, and I love that we made our mini shoot work in such a unique location: the huts you see in the background belong to Saban Pansion, a REALLY well-run and atmospheric pension featuring cozy huts both on ground and on stilts. And the food…well I picked the place because it’s food was noted to be the best in Olympos and we were THRILLED with the results. Anyway, I digress. Back to Michelle and Tom. I wanted to share just a few shots with you to enjoy before I sign off and leave the world of wireless for a little while longer! Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend!
Congrats on your engagement Michelle and Tom and all the best with your big move and wedding plans…come visit us in California sometime!
Hey Jaime, Leo and I both love the pictures and the essence they capture. I just wanna jump in some of that beautiful turquoise water! Some of these Ephesus shots are definitely enlarge-and-frame worthy.
Love to both of you from both of us.
Thanks Kirsta! Glad you like them! And I too want to go back and jump in that water…it was GLORIOUS! Spectacular views and an incredible experience. Israel has been just as, if not more mind-blowing! Miss you both! Jaime

Hi, I found this page by searching for ways to photograph the library at sunrise. I researched and found the site doesn’t open until 8:30am in April but the sun comes up at 5:15am. How were you able to get to the Library for sunrise then? And do they allow tripods?
Thanks!
Hi Alex, Thanks for your question. I can’t remember what time we were there, but we were in Ephesus in early October, so that would make the sunrise time a bit later. Also, we weren’t there before dawn…we arrived at the ‘back’ entrance (not the one closest to the library) just before opening and then ran all the way to the library in order to get there before anyone else. I was able to photograph the library just prior to the sun coming up and then all the way through the sunrise, which would happen later at the library than elsewhere because there’s a hill that prevents the sun from shining on it earlier. Hope that clarifies things for you. I’m not sure about tripods thought. All the best!
